Lopen Karma attends the XXth Seminar of International Association of Buddhist Studies

Lopen Karma Phuntsho took part in the International Association of Buddhist Studies Seminar in Leipzig, Germany. Marking the XXth conference, it is the largest gathering of scholars teaching Buddhism in academic institutions across the world. The conference had around 450 presentations in 48 panels and and 24 sections by participants from more than 30 countries.
While there were no Tibetan and Bhutanese monastics and only two other Bhutanese participants, four of us, Sonam Choden, Sonam Jamtsho, Samten Yeshi, and I from the remote village of Ura following our own gomchen lay priest tradition made up for the shortage.
